ONCE UPON A TIME
This series was inspired by my introduction into AFROFUTURISM. AFROFUTURISM for me presented an opportunity to see Art AS Healing, in that the subject matter often depicts Black people as majestic and liberated through technology, art, and other cultural aesthetics. I was also inspired by my desire to find "the one", and the frustration of online dating as a working millennial. I believe God has predestined a happily ever after for me, however, I still haven't found my prince charming. This particular series was based on fairy tale cliches and troupes: a princess, a prince, a curse, an evil sorceress, breaking the curse, and living happily ever after.
